Continuing with the series from Mindowaskin Park in Westfield. It was magical in this mantel of white.
For a much larger more detailed view go here.
Coming back to AM3 after a long hiatus. I hope to be more active in the coming months.
What an enchanting place. It looks like a scene from a fairy tale.

Fine shot, Laurie. Bringing up detail in snow can be tough, but you got it here.

@Monterey John: Thanks John. There was not a bit of post processing done for these either other than exporting the DNG for posting to my blogs. Every shot I took that day came out nicely and needed no post work...well in my opinion anyway.
I'm not sure but there was a recent firmware update...okay it wasn't exactly recent but I only got around to installing it recently...which seems to have made a big difference in the straight out of the camera images. I was never one for much post processing but it was not usually for there to be some need for white balance correction when shot with Auto White Balance (I often shoot custom). The update made the Auto White Balance performance awesome in most cases. I may be imagining things but it also seems the dynamic range and contrast straight from the camera is much better as well where I don't even feel the need to do curves adjustments either for many of the images now. Just looking at the histograms they seem much more balanced in general.
God s Power! very nice.

Amazing how a snowfall brings out a totally different relief even to what might be a familiar landscape.
