NJIO 15th Anniversary Concert IVPosted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 2 June 2009 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. This very talented young lady is Hyewon Kim. She was born in Korea in 1990 and has been studying cello since she was 10. She has won many accolades, awards, and scholarships in her short career. She is currently finishing her studies in The Julliard School of Music Pre-College Division and has been accepted into the Julliard School of Music. The NJIO is as it says an Intergenerational orchestra and in keeping with that theme they invited Hyewon and her teacher from Julliard André Emelianoff to play as soloists and to also do a duet. It was quite a treat to listen to them and see them perform together. This shot was taken during the pre-concert warm up. Hyewon and the conductor were discussing part of the solo piece she was rehearsing. She is so pretty and I could not take a bad photo of her if I tried. For a higher resolution view without the nasty aberrations in the background go here. See my new SLIDESHOW page. Your comments are very much appreciated. I know how much time and effort it takes to visit and leave comments. I really do appreciate them. I make every effort to reply to questions but sometimes I miss one or two and I apologize for that. If you really need me to get an answer to you quickly, the best way is to use the CONTACT button at the bottom of the page. I post the same photos here as on Capturethisphotography.com but they are higher res. and landscape orientation shots are larger size. I post only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
