NJIO 15th Anniversary Concert II

This is the second in the series from the NJIO's (New Jersey Intergenerational Orchestra) 15th Anniversary Concert.. I tried to get some of the beautiful details from the Union County Performing Arts Center in Rahway NJ. The theater is quite beautiful. It was not easy to get the details but I was satisfied with this one. I shot this during the pre-concert run through.

Are you using a tripod on this or just high ISO? Pin Sharp Perfect.

@stormtrooper: I did not use tri-pod. I rarely use one, and it was also not allowed by the theater management. Most theaters and auditoriums will not allow the use of tri-pods since it can create a hazard especially if there is a fire. Fire safety codes require that the aisles are kept clear of obstructions. I could have used a mono-pod but did not. I can usually shoot well handheld at shutter speeds of 1/100 sec. or above with that lens. It is not a VR lens and it is heavy so if I start getting tired I will sometimes use the mono-pod.

Glad you took a detail shot of the ambient, it shows ur photographer eye is pretty sharp now ! And just by curiosity, has photography changed your global vision of life ? When your without camera, are you really looking all aroud for the possibles shots you could have taken if u had your cam ? Just asking cause well this is my case ...

@jean-sebastien: Thanks...It's funny but I am rarely without my camera. I do tend to look at things a little differently now but perhaps not the way you might think. I notice lighting styles and camera angles on television and in movies more now that I am doing so much more serious photography than years ago.
