Reflection of a ShellPosted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 9 April 2009 in Art & Design and Portfolio. Well I am back to some more recent photos. This was shot a few weeks ago. I shot it in my light tent with the shell placed on a mirror. For a higher resolution view go here. See my new SLIDESHOW page. Your comments are very much appreciated. I remember a recent shot of yours where you used the mirror to good effect as well, but this is just stunning. Hope you don't mind if I borrow (ummm..steal?) the idea occasionally? 9 Apr 2009 12:55pm @dobbino: Thanks...Shooting on a mirror or other reflective surfaces is not my invention...I wish it were! Well done. 9 Apr 2009 4:00pm Ti from Alpharetta, United StatesYou've kept that mirror windex cleaned! :-) What light source did you use? with F/40 and ISO 800 but 1/200 you must tried to keep it fast to get a clear shot and crank those numbers up without using a tripod? 9 Apr 2009 4:11pm @Ti: I'm not sure why it was at ISO 800 except that I often shoot in low light conditions with auto ISO because I never worry about noise with the D700 and had probably just left it there. This was shot in the light tent with strobes. k@ from Paris, FranceYou turned this shell into a real jewel that could be in a museum ! 9 Apr 2009 4:28pm Giovanni from Milan, ItalySo beautiful!
