Exquisite reflections and selective focus! 22 Mar 2009 4:51pm Chris from South Jersey, United Stateswonderful - that reflection works really well..... 22 Mar 2009 5:23pm Jasp from Plymouth, United KingdomI am intrigued... "dusting brush" ... is this a girlie thing ?...mine are all covered in paint ! 22 Mar 2009 7:37pm @Jasp: LOL...actually I use it in my studio to brush dust and other small debris off of the surfaces after arranging the items to be photographed. There can be a lot schmutz and the brush works pretty well to get rid of it. I had used it on the mirror and when I just placed it down after using it and I thought hmmm...why not take a photo of it. dogilicious from Millerstown, PA, United StatesVery nice composition! Beauty in the ordinary. 22 Mar 2009 8:41pm Viewfinder from Bradenton, FL, United StatesGreat closeup. I like the simplicity of form in this composition. 23 Mar 2009 12:19am Charles from New York, United StatesThe details in the brush is amazing. Nice composition Laurie. One from Açores, PortugalA very beautiful idea ! Great creativity in this composition ! 23 Mar 2009 2:56am Andrew Gould from Sydney, AustraliaThe fall off in focus towards the background is quite fascinating. Wonderful image! 23 Mar 2009 3:30am @Andrew Gould: Thanks. The lens is a macro and even at such small apertures the DoF is very tight. I have shot this lens all he way down to f51 and still had a really narrow DoF in macro. Michael Rawluk from Williams Lake, BC, CanadaThat is wonderful. Nice simple composition. 23 Mar 2009 3:53am EYES WIDE SHUT from The library of my soul, United KingdomI want a D700.....now!!! Ha ha 23 Mar 2009 4:35am Sergei Z from Türi, EstoniaVery nice capture. As I see you enjoy your studio time a lot! 23 Mar 2009 5:02am Mike from Lichfield, United KingdomI'm surprised your depth of field is so shallow with F22. Good photo though with good composition. 23 Mar 2009 6:17am @Mike: Thanks. The lens is a macro lens and the DoF remains shallow when shooting in close even at the smallest apertures. I've shot stopped to f51 with this lens and still get a pretty tight DoF. NarB from Bruxelles, BelgiumTout est dans le détail, c'est lumineux, j'aime beaucoup. 23 Mar 2009 7:09am Querques from Palleja, SpainI really like it!, good macro of this paint brush!!!!!. 23 Mar 2009 7:29am Behrooz Sangani from Tehran, IranI love these reflection shots. I may borrow the idea. 23 Mar 2009 9:30am @Anita: Thanks. Using a mirror, black glass, clear glass, pearl glass, white glass, or an color glass or acrylic makes a great reflective background.
