Some TreasuresPosted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 4 March 2009 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio. I have a collection of china tea sets consisting of a luncheon plate, teacup and saucer. Each set is different, no 2 are alike, although they are all probably best described as "country cottage floral". I also have a collection of assorted demitasse cups. I have only 2 pairs of demitasse cups that match, all the others are different. Most belonged to my mom, my paternal grandma, or my maternal grandma. I love these little sets, and this little demitasse cup and saucer is one of my favorites. It is more formal than the others and the only one in black. The little pewter pot is is one of 2 pewter pots I have, also inherited. This one is really tiny, only big enough for one cup. I have never actually used either of these treasures but I do really like them. This was shot on a piece of black glass hence the pure black and slight reflection of the pot. For a higher resolution view go here. See my new SLIDESHOW page. Your comments are very much appreciated. I know how much time and effort it takes to visit and leave comments. I really do appreciate them. I make every effort to reply to questions but sometimes I miss one or two and I apologize for that. If you really need me to get an answer to you quickly, the best way is to use the CONTACT button at the bottom of the page. I post the same photos here as on Capturethisphotography.com but they are higher res. and landscape orientation shots are larger size. I post only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
