During the holidays I wanted to go into NY to see Rockefeller Center in all it's holiday splendor. I was also planning on going into Washington DC. Neither of those things happened, but this was a compromise. Yes that is Radio City Music Hall in Gingerbread and that is the White House next door.
This is from the annual Gingerbread House competition at Peddler's Village in Lahaska PA.

Fabulous! I love the light and DOF, particularly the angle you captured this.
Now that is some "sweet" skills someone has. I would enjoy making something like that.

@Steve Rice: Thanks...I hadn't thought of it that way but you are right. The day I saw these it was bitter cold and we did have to walk outside in the village to get to this display which was in an enclosed gazebo.

WOW! I can't imagine putting this together - the ornate decoration and detail is spectacular. Love your point-of-view. It almost looks as if you could be standing on the street looking up!!!

Great macro! The DOF is perfect for letting us see the rest of the scene, but keeping the focus on Radio City! Great work.

@Viewfinder: Thanks. These were purely for show and they had been up for a while. Some had collapsed over the weeks they had been on display. They did look tasty though!

At first I thought I was looking at a Tilt Shift lens photo... But it really is Gingerbread - Yum. Well, maybe not so much yum after it has been sitting there a while.
