Posted WarningsPosted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 2 December 2008 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio. This property owner makes his point pretty clear. The interesting thing here is that he doesn't own the utility pole where he posted these warnings...kind of ironic. This was shot on Saturday in Milford NJ just next to the bridge. ETA...I just want to clarify some things about this post. I do not have any issue with people protecting their properties and privacy. I only posted this for the irony of it. Also this is not anyone's home. It is an old abandoned mill that was most recently used as a shop/studio for artists and craftspeople. From what a local resident told me it had been sold and the buyer wanted to "flip" the property, sell to a developer for lots of money to be torn down and have high priced luxury waterfront townhouses built along the River. The locals wanted to stop the development and have the old empty Mill preserved as an historic landmark...I believe the town was originally named for the old mill. Now the old stone mill stands empty and falling into serious decay. That is what one local resident told me about the old property and from the sounds of it the owner was really unhappy with the residents for stopping the development. It is sad to see this once beautiful building in such shape. See my new SLIDESHOW page. Your comments are very much appreciated. I know how much time and effort it takes to visit and leave comments. I really do appreciate them. I make every effort to reply to questions but sometimes I miss one or two and I apologize for that. If you really need me to get an answer to you quickly, the best way is to use the CONTACT button at the bottom of the page. I post the same photos here as on Capturethisphotography.com but they are higher res. and landscape orientation shots are larger size. I post only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
