Sand Bar USA

Is open! There is a funky bar/night club located on the waterfront in Jersey City next to the Marina in the previous shots. It is quite large and has a lot of outdoor areas complete with plastic palm trees, a sand beach, and some unusual furniture. We were there early in the afternoon so it was pretty quiet but judging from the looks of the place it is probably hopping at night especially in the summer. We stopped for a beer at one of the outside bars. We did not venture inside although it must be quite large with 2 dance floors and several lounge and dining areas.

wonderful shot, the large sign and arrow, and the awesome blue sky and clouds
I have seen the sign but havent been to that bar it does sound cool, but wouldnt want to go there when it gets to busy, age must be getting to me I much prefer a quiet little bar these days when I want to be out for a drink or 2

@JJ: Thanks. I agree. It was really quiet and pretty much deserted when we were there but all indications were that it is hoppin' at night. I like to just have a peek. But it's probably a really young crowd and too much for me. I feel soooo old!

From outside it looks a bit like a forbidden area, but accoding to your writing I think it's the place to be. :-)
So sorry about your trouble with that 'ranking expert'. Seems to be a whole new class of trolls emerging there, quite annoying!

@MadScientist: Thanks...It was/is a very odd place. I am tempted to go back next summer to check it out in the evening. It is probably a very young crowd and this old gal will probably be way out of her element!

@Daryl: Thanks. I got a few. It wasn't that interesting. I think if there were more people it would have been very interesting. The next one shows some of the funkiness of it. I did not go inside. I only was in the outdoor area.

Oh Jersey City! I used to live in Weehawken...as in, I moved out of there 4 months ago! To me, JC is a rapidly changing place, very easy to get lost in. I also like your fisheye.

Excellent shot Laurie. I've been down to AC a few times this past summer and they had a lot of these beach bars. Like the angle and perspective here, nice job!
