Fishing in Round Valley

Posted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 8 July 2008 in Sport & Recreation and Portfolio.

The weather has been muggy and overcast with scattered rain, quite a lot of it actually since around the middle of last week. It just has not been very nice at all. Despite the weather people were still out and about determined to eek out some summer recreation wherever and whenever they could.

We took a ride out to PA and ended up rained out pretty much. We decided duck into a brew pub for a quick bite and a beer while we waited out the rain. The rain let up some but it was still drizzly so we called it for the day.

On the way home as we neared Round Valley the weather perked up a bit. Well, at least it stopped pouring, and even stopped drizzling. So we decided to take a ride down to the boat launch and look at the reservoir to see if there was anything interesting. It was pretty quiet but there were a few hearty souls determined to enjoy the day by pursuing their hobbies, fishing and boating.

This was shot at about 8:30 on Saturday evening. The light was fading fast but it was really quite pleasant there.

As of July 2008 I have decided to post the same photos here as on Capturethisphotography.com but check the archives for photos not posted here.
