This is a concept photo for a concert program cover I am in the process of designing. It has been manipulated for the purpose.
I've been terribly busy with work which is very good but it keeps me from having time to post here much. I also have not been able to visit more than maybe once a week. I miss everyone!
Russ has made his decision about college. I will reveal it when he has signed his letter of intent and sent it in. He was accepted to some very fine schools and I think he has made a good decision that will give him a lot of opportunities to explore all the possibilities available to him. Whew! What an amazing, sometimes exciting, sometimes disappointing, and stressful experience this past year has been for him and us on this journey. I am very proud of him.
This photo of the Bucknell Quad is a 2 page feature photo in the Summer 2008 issue of Bucknell Magazine.
Your comments are very much appreciated. I know the time and effort it takes to visit and leave comments and although I don't get to reply to them nearly as often as I like, please know that I do really appreciate them. You are what keeps me going. I make every effort to reply to questions but I may miss one or two and I apologize for that. If you really need me to get an answer to you quickly, the best way is to use the contact form on Am3.
As of July 2008 I have decided to post the same photos here as on Capturethisphotography.com but check the archives for photos not posted here.

A beautiful image. Very skillfully done. Love the contrasting textures of the smooth, curved violin surface and that of the flowers. By the way, I really hadn't read Craig's comment before deciding what to write!

Beautiful composition, Laurie. What would you think of adding the bow to the image, laying it across the strings going from the lower right to the upper left or would that make it too busy? I can't wait to hear which school he chose.
