Red Barn in a Snowy Landscape

Posted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 26 February 2008 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

We finally got a decent snowstorm on Friday. It amounted to about 6 inches which is more than double the total snow we had for the season. The kids got a snow day out of the deal which made them very happy.

I managed to get out to the country on Saturday to look for some nice winter scenery. I was hoping for a little late day sun to make things pretty and interesting but that never happened. It remained gray all day. I still found some ok shots. Sunday had good afternoon light but I was not able to get out to shoot.

Now that I've had a taste of snow for the winter I've had enough already! The snow can melt away and Spring can come. I know I am impossible to please.

I post the same photos here as on Capturethisphotography.com but they are higher res. and landscape orientation shots are larger size.
