Happy New Year...Turning Over a New LeafPosted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 1 January 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. I will eat healthier in 2008. I will exercise more in 2008. I will save more money in 2008. I will spend less money in 2008. I will be more charitable. I will give up (fill in the blank). It's time to make those dreaded New Year's Resolutions. So what are yours this year? A few years ago I resolved not to make resolutions...Instead I reflect on the year before and think about the positive things in my life and try to let go of the "bad stuff". It's not as easy as it sounds. I think sometimes we let the "bad stuff" define the year for us because every year around this time I hear more people say things like..."I will be glad when this year is over! It was a bad year!" than I ever hear people say "It was a great year. I just hope next year is as good!" I wonder if it really was as bad as we perceive? Or do we tend to let the bad outweigh the good? Does the bad stuff make us forget about the good stuff? So this year I think I will "resolve" to focus on the good stuff, and try to minimize the impact the bad stuff has on my life...after all there will always be bad stuff. So here is a Happy New Years wish to all of you. I wish you good health, prosperity, and happiness in 2008. Remember the "good stuff" it will make the "bad stuff" easier to take. Keep your celebrations safe! PS...I am having internet trouble so I haven't been able to update my sites. I will be back when it's all fixed...Thanks!
