Thanksgiving was really very nice. We had a great time with family and the food was too much of course. I think I'm still stuffed!
Rob left Sunday morning which of course was very tough for us. We will miss him.
This is another shot of Fall's colorful finale in Mohawk Park.

@Brian: Thanks.
I love the colors,, branches and DOF. For a few years now I have wanted to see the fall colors and capture scenes with my camera. The dampness of the woods, crackling of brush under your feet, the whisper of the wind between the branches, the bird songs is far more enchanting to me than tourists and locals on a beach that has no parking. I agree with Monterey John, that I miss fall. Although I would love to be in California too. I was north a few times this year, all of which I missed the fall event by weeks. It sounds like I want it all, north, south and west coast. I do! Thank you for the beautiful piece of fall and the emotions it stirs.

The colour and light is glorious with that touch of mist in the background. Beautiful image, Laurie.
How long will Rob be this time? Has he gone back for another rotation or is he just gone to base? It's hard when our loved ones are so far away.

@amy: Thanks Amy. Rob was home on his mid tour leave. He had to go back to Iraq for the remaining 7 months. It's hard to send him back, but knowing that he is more than halfway finished with this tour does help.
rich and earthy colours...wish we got the same fall colours here that you get there...

@PhotoSam: Thanks. It is wonderful to experience such beautiful colors every year.
What is striking is the dampness, it leaps out of the picture, come alive, brilliant.

A beautiful Swan Song for Fall this year...and you've captured it! I felt like the leaves and color really lasted quite a while so we as photographers were lucky! God Bless your son.

@Jen: Thanks. We were sorry to see him leave, but take comfort in knowing that things are getting better and he will be home again possibly sooner than we originally thought, and even if he isn't the time is more than half way over for this deployment.
Lovely shot and a nice one to end the series!
