This is the black and white version of this image that was taken in my little Mohawk Park on that foggy fall morning last Wednesday.
I have posted a color version of this same photo at Capture This if you are interested is having a peek. I think that they have completely different moods.
I want to thank everyone for the wonderful response to the last image. I was overwhelmed and very flattered.

This is so pretty and to think this has a totally different feel when its in color. I think i like the black and white tho. it adds a bit of the cold lonely feeling just as the bench implies with it just being all alone in your capture. Well done my dear.

@Rabbit: Thanks. I found both images appealed in such different ways for me, that I just had to post both versions.
sigh....the fog lingering, the empty bench, someone waiting....and waiting.... the hope is still there! Beautiful image

@badala: Thanks.
I prefer this one by far. You're right; the moods a very far apart. Funny what a couple of hundreds of color will do to an image. Very calm and quiet shot. And very nice

@Peter Martin Jorgensen: Thanks. It is amazing how the mood changes.
Excellent! The color version is good. But, this image is captivating. The black and white version adds a bit of mystery and a cold lonely feel! Outstanding!

@Craiger: Thanks.
I like the b&w better (but then, I'm drawn to b&w more often anyway). There is a simplicity and stark beauty to this.

@dawn: Thanks. I am a big fan of Black and white too. I tend to do a lot of it. I have to restrain myself sometimes.
There is something special about foggy scenes, I have to confess that I prefer the B&W version over the colour one..

Fantastic image.

@Craig Persel: Thanks.
The fog adds a totally new dimension to this. Without it, the conviction of the B&W would be lost in familiarity, yet with it, it's able to dictate the entire feel of the image. Right place, right time, right choice. Congrats, mate.

@Bender Bending Rodriguez: Thanks. Fog is one of the best atmospheric elements for photography. I love it.
