Fascinating how things end up where they do. This was shot Thursday afternoon on the high rusted railing of a footbridge over the river. When I saw this one leaf lying on the railing, I couldn't help but think of how many things just happen completely out of our control.

Love the earthy colors and the closeup of this very "poetic" leaf. My husband and I call kind of artsy trees, branches andflora designs poetic.

Gosh, the clarity of detail on this random leaf is perfect; I love the way it just sits on the flat plane; the texture and depth of focus provides a perfect backdrop for the leaf to stand out all the more.
