This is from a couple of months ago I had it in cue and just forgot about it. So I figured no better time than the present!
~NEWS FLASH~
Last week Nikon announced it's first FULL FRAME DSLR!!! The D3! It is supposed to become available in November. I am so psyched! I know I won't be getting one any time soon, but I am anxious to see it how it fairs. Maybe in a couple of years I can get one! Click here for more info.

Your comments are very much appreciated. I know the time and effort it takes to visit and leave comments and although I don't get to reply to them nearly as often as I like, please know that I do really appreciate them. You are what keeps me going. I make every effort to reply to questions but I may miss one or two and I apologize for that. If you really need me to get an answer to you quickly, the best way is to use the contact form on Am3.
As of July 2008 I have decided to post the same photos here as on Capturethisphotography.com but check the archives for photos not posted here.

@david: Thanks.
I like this image. Love the halo effect.

@badala: Thanks. I went for a sort of Orton effect for this one. The oats were soft from being blown and it just seemed natural to give them that sort of soft glowing effect.
Nicely done, Laurie!

@Shar: Thanks.
Yes I heard the news! Great news for Nikon users. I'm itching to get Canon's newest full-frame 5D when it's released. Rumour has it the new body will be weather sealed, sport the Digic III processor and (fingers crossed) ISO 6400!!!, which on the new Mark III has an unbelievably low level of noise. We'll see!
30 Aug 2007 6:37pm
@Dave MacIntyre: It seems like a very exciting time indeed. ISO 6400 is what the D3 is offering with boost up to 25,600, which is insane!!! I'm really, really looking forward to it. I have so many awesome Nikon lenses that can take advantage of the full frame. All but one of my lenses will be compatible with full frame but even the DX lens I have will work on that camera in crop mode for those lenses which is pretty cool if I understand it correctly.
A simple and elegant capture of these guys.
