Stormy WeatherPosted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 28 August 2007 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio. I don't usually post the same photo here that I post on my other blog but this photo is a favorite of mine and received such a wonderful reaction over there that I decided to post it here as well. For those of you who have seen it on my other photoblog, I am sorry to be subjecting you to it again. My next photo will be a "fresh" one I promise. This was shot on Aug 20 during a very long spell of blustery nasty weather we were experiencing. I took a walk on the beach to take a look at the roiling see what I spotted this wonderful lifeguard boat on the sand near the dunes. The sky was tumultuous and threatening and the wind was stiff and whipping which created the perfect backdrop for this shot. I absolutely love the patina of the wood. It is very unusual since most of the lifeguard boats I have seen in NJ are painted white. This is the first one I've seen with the natural honey toned wood.
