This was shot in Lake George. I saw this couple on the dock taking in the last drops of the late afternoon sun.

@david: Thanks. It was a sweet scene that I almost didn't notice at first.
Beautiful photo. Good light and colour.

@Paulo: Thanks.
Exquisite lighting of the main subjects. Their positioning is very natural as well, so I guess it's a good photographer's eye you have. :)
Nice job, man.

@Sashmo Au.go.go: Thanks.
Beautiful image. A good work.

@Line: Thanks.
Very, very nice. Whatever you did to darken the sky a little and brighten your subjects, you did it well. The lighting and the positioning of the pier just magnetically draws the viewer's eye to the couple at the end of the pier, at the end of the day... beautiful.

@Viewfinder: Thanks. Actually there is no sky in the shot. those are mountains around the lake. There was a slight haze laying in over the mountains when I shot this, which does obscure them.
Beautifully shot!

@Kheoh Yee Wei: Thanks so much. It was a beautiful evening.
I've been admiring your photos Laurie (not just this one - they are all great!) Keep up the good work. All the best, Ian PS - I took the time to read your intro - no flattery intended (or bs) but I took the time to read your 'about' introduction and it was very moving. Maybe you should try taking up creative writing as well or perhaps combining more text with each shot - I'm sure lots of people of our approx age group would connect with it.

@Ian Bramham: I am sorry that it took me so long to respond. I've been rather swamped lately and I am so far behind it's almost scary!
I do dabble a bit with writing from time to time. I used to "write" short stories for my kids where they were the hero characters in those stories. Some I wrote down some I just told from my head.
I have been known to be rather long winded in my posting in the past. Lately I've just been so busy that I find it difficult to keep up with the blogs.
I did have a short story that I published on my other blog under the title "Rachel...the Rest of the Story". It went along with a Halloween post from the day before. If you are interested it can be found here. The photo of "Rachel" can be found in the previous post to that one here.
It was a quick story that I had intended to put up for Halloween but I didn't get the story up until the day after.
AAAH! I wish that was me sitting there with my hubby! :(

@Dawn Sutherland: Awww...Thanks..Me too. That would be more fun than taking the photo! Especially if the boat that was docked there was also ours!!!
Beautiful composition and a beautiful moment. I like the leading lines created by the posts on the dock. This image really makes me miss Lake George and the Adirondacks. It is so flat out, drop dead, gorgeous up there. It's no wonder Georgia O'Keefe and Alfred Stieglitz summered up there.

@Russ: Thanks...It certainly is beautiful.
Just love how you've captured the couple in the sunlight! It makes for a beautiful subject against the shrouded mountain backdrop! Like David said "Oh! To be young again". :-)
