Blue Bay

Thanks for all the wonderful feedback on yesterday's fun image. I got such a kick out of taking that shot as well as seeing all the responses.

This is actually a shot from a year ago taken at Long Beach Island. We didn't get to Long Beach Island yet this summer which is very odd as it is one of our favorite haunts. This was taken when Rob was home on leave.

We had gone to dinner at a favorite restaurant, Tuckers, which is near the bay on the Southern part of LBI. When we left the restaurant full and happy, we walked to the end of the road to look at the bay. There were a lot of people gathered there taking in the view on this particularly gorgeous evening. It was just shortly after sunset and the colors were amazing. It was so interesting to watch the shades change from almost magenta to this deep blue as the sun sank lower in the horizon. I think I've heard of this time just after sunset and just before sunrise referred to as the "blue hours". I can definitely see why.
