2 Canoes

Not too much to say about this one. It's just 2 canoes at a local canoe club.

It's been pretty busy. Jon's back from 2 weeks away at music camp and the schedules are pretty full. Still no time or energy to get out shooting as I would like.

Great symmetry in the shot! I wonder how much light was there, looking at that exif data.

@Behrooz: Thanks. I did crop it a bit to get the symmetry even better than the original. There was quite a bit of light actually. It was around 11 am just as the canoe place was opening. I wanted a very narrow DOF to carry the eye to the tips of the canoes and give nice separation between the canoes and the water.

I loved the simplicity and balance of the photo - the older i get the more I find that I value and appreciate simplicity in art (but unfortunately it doesn't make it any easier to achieve in my own shots :-)

I love the simple straightforward look to this shot. When you are rushing around being Super Mom take some time out and look at this picture. I think you will feel calmer for doing it.

@Dave Mac: Thanks. I only wish these canoes were taken at some of the amazing locations you find instead of in downtown Cranford! Don't get me wrong it's a fun thing to do in town, but it's not nearly as breathtaking looking into peoples backyards as the vast wilderness of the places you go.
