Breathtakingly beautiful. Love the softness of the petals you captured. So pure.

@April: Thanks.
wow.. beautiful. was it taken with the 60mm macro? was wondering... does it give you a greater DOF than a 100mm in the macro range?. thnx=)

@benjamin: Thanks. This was taken with the 60 mm macro. I really cannot answer that since I don't have the 100mm. This shot was at f11 as was this one. But this one of the grapes was at f36, and this one on my other blog was at f3.5 I cannot see an appreciable difference when shooting truly macro.
Pure loveliness! Bravo!

I love the vein detail in the petals and the deep purple background. My guess is that is a purple mum behind the rose? Very beautiful.
9 Apr 2007 9:16am
@Russ: Thanks. Yes it is a purple mum like this one from the same arrangement.
OOH I love the purple in the back, for me that is what makes this shot special. Lovely
