Grapes from My Kitchen

Posted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 30 March 2007 in Food & Cuisine and Portfolio.

Thanks so much for the wonderful feedback on the previous shot. It is perhaps my favorite to date and I'm glad you all seemed to like it too.

This shot is from a couple of weeks ago. I had just washed these grapes and I had my camera set up so I took some shots of them. I used the light coming through the window by the counter.

A stomach virus kept me from getting out and shooting this week. I think I picked it up from Russell when he returned from his Washington DC trip. It seems a lot of the kids and teachers that went got sick when they came home. I think Russell managed to avoid getting it but graciously decided to share it with me anyway. I wasn't that sick but I just couldn't get into going out shooting. I just felt very blah and tired. I am feeling better.

The weather is getting warm and signs of spring are emerging. I hope to feel up to getting some shooting done over the next few days.

Jon is off from school next week for Spring Break and Russ is off the following week. Which means I will have bored kids on my hands since they won't be able to torment each other during their respective breaks.

I've spoken with Rob regularly via phone and internet and he is doing well. He's enjoying his new camera. Someone actually used it and got pictures of him playing volleyball which I saw on his Facebook site. He looks good. He looked very cool in his shades.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

I post the same photos here as on Capturethisphotography.com but the images there are higher res. and recent landscape orientation shots are larger size.
