Rural Decay

Posted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 15 January 2007 in Architecture and Portfolio.

This photo was taken across the road from where this photo was taken. It is a rural area and I've only recently seen graffiti making it's way into these rural areas. It's a shame, in my opinion, that this kind of unsightly vandalism has made it's way into the countryside.

This building is occupied, although I don't know what is there. I didn't see any identifying markers on it, but I could hear the whirring of machinery from within it's walls. It was probably a mill of some sort at one time from the looks of it and the location being right on the water. It does appear to be in a state of disrepair.
