Macro of Dried Hydrangea Petals

Posted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 19 December 2006 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

Sunday I received an early Christmas present from my husband...a 60mm f2.8 macro lens...Woo Hoo a real macro lens!!!

I've been really busy the last few days since Christmas is coming and my son Rob came in from Ft. Benning for about 2 weeks leave. Needless to say things are busy but fun!

I took some experimental shots around my house and yard with my macro and this one is of the dried petals on my Hydrangea bush that is in the front yard. This poor shrub will soon fall victim to the ongoing removal of contaminated soil from where the oil tank had leaked underground.
