Secure the Bow Line!

Posted by Laurie (New Jersey, United States) on 1 December 2006 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

I guess if you don't have cleats to tie off to then I suppose a large nail will just have to do.

I shot this in October when I was down at the waterfront walking around and just enjoying the sights, smells, and sounds on a beautiful Autumn afternoon.

Last weekend was very busy, not much time to shoot, but I did get a hold of some ND and Grad ND filters for my wide lens...can't wait to experiment!!! I also got a low profile polarizer for my wide angle 12-24mm, the one I was using was vignetting too much and made it so that I had to crop or clone the corners. But OUCH!!! that polarizer was one expensive puppy!!! At least the other one is still fine for my 200mm.

I'm afraid winter will make it tough to find interesting things to shoot. It may be tough to find enough stuff to post especially now that I have 2 photoblogs to maintain...what was I thinking? I'll manage somehow I'm sure.

I also did some Christmas decorating. I always start the day after Thanksgiving and usually finish by the end of the long weekend. I didn't quite finish but I'd say other that the trees, I am 95% done and it looks beautiful inside and out, except that my front yard is still torn up from the continuing remediation efforts. Some day I'll have a driveway and lawn again...sigh..

*I am slowly moving my archives from my other site here since I am having some trouble with Blogger and broken archives, lack of support, etc. The migration will take some time and if you visit my other blog you will likely see some redundancy.

Your comments are very much appreciated. I know how much time and effort it takes to visit and leave comments. I really do appreciate them.

I make every effort to reply to questions but sometimes I miss one or two and I apologize for that. If you really need me to get an answer to you quickly, the best way is to use the CONTACT button at the bottom of the page.

I post the same photos here as on Capturethisphotography.com but they are higher res. and landscape orientation shots are larger size.

I post only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
