Mountain Path

Thank you everyone for indulging me on my "Rachel" posts. They were fun and I was pleased with the response. As far as the story writing goes, I've always enjoyed writing but my train of though is easily derailed so I always limit myself to short stories, such as they are.

I'm posting this rather quickly tonight since I worked on a project this afternoon and my orchestra job tonight. I am going to be in NY tomorrow for the Photo Plus Expo at the Javitts Center. It should be interesting and hopefully informative and fun. I am planning on meeting up with some people there. If anyone is planning on being there tomorrow, maybe we'll bump into each other. You know what I look like from the back anyway! I'd be carrying a rather large black and green backpack.

Some great news from my son the soldier, he's coming home for about 2 weeks in December! The plane tickets are bought and he'll be home for Christmas. What a blessing! I am so looking forward to seeing him. I think he will be shocked to see that his "baby" brother has grown about 5 inches since he saw him in August and will probably be nearly eye to eye with him now.

This shot is from a few weeks ago when I went hiking on Kittatinny Mountain. It was when the colors were just starting to peak and it was lovely. I just loved how the light filtered through the leaves and dappled everything in golden light, it was really breathtaking.

The leaves are beyond peak now, but the colors that are left are the most amazing I think I've seen in years. I got some shots from a Historic Mill in my town today which I will eventually post that bear witness to the awesome colors we have this year. They are part of one of my projects that I have been working on.

*I am slowly moving my archives from my other site here since I am having some trouble with Blogger and broken archives, lack of support, etc. The migration will take some time and if you visit my other blog you will likely see some redundancy.

Your comments are very much appreciated. I know how much time and effort it takes to visit and leave comments. I really do appreciate them.

I make every effort to reply to questions but sometimes I miss one or two and I apologize for that. If you really need me to get an answer to you quickly, the best way is to use the CONTACT button at the bottom of the page.

I post the same photos here as on Capturethisphotography.com but they are higher res. and landscape orientation shots are larger size.

I post only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
